Stephanie R. Schmidt is a life-long resident of Waterloo Region and is proud to call its rural communities, small towns, and tri-cities her home. After completing high-school at Baden’s Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School in Wilmot Township, she continued her education for four years in Health Studies with a Pre-Health Option at the University of Waterloo. She then studied Naturopathic Medicine full-time for another four years at the accredited Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. In addition, she spent one year in Switzerland and Germany learning about European natural health and healing. Stephanie also enjoys figure skating, having been involved in the sport for over twenty years as a participant and a Skate Canada professional coach. Stephanie is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with the Board of Directors Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Naturopathic Medicine is a holistic approach, which addresses physiological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors affecting health. Naturopathic Doctors are primary health care providers who integrate modern scientific knowledge with traditional forms of natural medicine to diagnose and treat disease as well as prevent disease and promote health.
